A sad vacation is when you STAY. When nothing happens. You want to do something, but there’s nothing except for sleeping, barbacueing and drinking. It is the honest truth of world tourism: got there, slept, ate, drunk, went back home.
Well, we want a different type of tourism. One with life in it, one that’s puts you in motion and gives you things to do all day long. So, we want to take you outdoors. We want your vacation to be as colourful and active as possible. We want your phone battery to drop dead from making too many, pictures, we want you to have good stories to tell back home.
In fact, you’ve got so many ways to fill up your agenda, once in Elves Garden, that we don’t even know which one to start with.
Put your boots on, get your camera and hit the road. Elves Garden is quite close to tons of places that are worth visiting. There’s the Sâmbăta de Sus resort, 2 km away from us, where you can visit the Brâncoveanu monastery, a XVIIth century monument; there’s also Father Arsenie Boca’s cell, dug inside a cliff; there’s the Brâncoveanu castle, erected during the XVIIIth century. And that’s not all. You’ve also got the Făgăraș Fortress, from Făgăraș town, which is 20 km away from us – a perfect sample of medieval ambience, well preserved inside the walls. You’ve got the cave churches from Șinca Veche and the fortified church from Cârța, 20 km away. You’ve even got Brașov city, with its splendid historical centre, only 70 km away from Elves Garden.
If you’re a tourist in Elves Garden and you embrace our ideas of green tourism, it means you’re an active individual. You like setting your blood in motion. Fortunately, there are ways of doing it, for as long as you’re our guest.
There is the Stud Farm from Sâmbăta de Sus resort – house of the last Lipizzans of Romania. There is the Transfăgărășan road, that brakes through clouds and crosses the Carpathians. You’ve also got trekking trails, in Făgăraș Mountains; an adventure park, in the vicinity, where you can enjoy the flying fox or the climbing wall; mountain-bike trails; carriage walks; ATV rides; special evenings at the sheepfold; yoga retreat lessons; sport fishing, in the Garden’s lakes; airsoft shooting range and airsoft games, for all those who feel like Rambo and wish to prove it.
In short, you’ve got clever ways to use your free time, in Elves Garden. No chance of getting bored, as long as you’re with us.
